About the position:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced automotive business professional to earn a significant income while helping clients improve their bottom line! In this coaching position, you will have the opportunity to consult and coach shop owners across the country about increasing profits through a 30 month re-engineering program. Open Position: Territory Manager / Outside Sales Consultant
The Automotive Training Institute, a nationally known and well-respected consulting firm for independent shop owners in the automotive repair industry, is seeking dedicated and tenacious Territory Manager Sales - Outside Sales Consultant for our growing team in New Jersey! In this rewarding and lucrative role, you will reach out to auto repair shop owners in an effort to sell them our 1-day managerial training workshop/seminar. You will also be consulting them on our coaching program after they have attended our workshop.
As a Territory Manager / Outside Sales Consultant for The Automotive Training Institute, you will qualify every shop owner you make contact with - ensuring that our services will offer the best solution for their unique needs.
This is primarily a field sales position. It is expected that you will ride in the field and meet with owners every day to discuss one day classes.
It is also expected you will attempt to meet with owners during evening hours to discuss ATI's Re-engineering Program.
On days of workshops, consultant must attend workshop and build relationship. Then set appointment for consulting appointment and perform shop operations analysis in an effort to help qualified candidates join coaching program.
Plan and manage your schedule to effectively cover your territory and ensure that we give our market the best opportunity to experience our product.
Be able to report on a daily basis the outcome of your sales calls throughout the day.
As a Territory Manager Sales - Outside Sales Consultant for the Automotive Training Institute. We are seeking sales professionals who are dedicated to consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals. Naturally, you must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The Inside Sales Representative will contact automotive shop owners, primarily by phone, to introduce them to ATI and the benefits of our services to their businesses. This representative will use a consultative sales approach to assess the clients’ need(s) in order to build a pipeline of sales to close each week.
Developing pre-generated leads from the initial contact to the finalized sale
Building relationships with automotive shop owners
Using probing, open-ended questions to find a potential clients’ need(s)
Qualifying shop owners to ensure ATI is the best solution for their business
Presenting ATI’s services as a solution to the specific need(s) of the potential client
Closing the client by selling them a ticket for the workshop event
Following up with potential clients, within your pipeline, to close sales each week
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Minimum of 3 years of consultative sales experience
Must have a successful sales history
Ability to pass a full criminal background check
Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office 2007
Excellent communication skills and experience working on a team
Ability to be work successfully in fast paced environment with changing priorities
Can be trusted to handle extremely confidential and sensitive information
